BookReview 101: RED and ME by B. Russell

People fear dying alone. Friendship is one of the most important things we need in life to make life fulfilling. RED and ME shows how much friendship can complete an individual’s life.

The great Bill Russell shares his friendship with the great Red Auerbach. Their friendship grew from mutual respect. Russell was a player & Red was a coach; Red never treated Russell as a subordinate. Put respect at the center of friendship.

Never use position to lord over people, instead figure out what makes people unique and cultivate that. This makes people feel appreciated and gives them an atmosphere where they can thrive.

This is another excellent read because of its practical themes. RIP Bill and Red.
